{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"801d7c5e2be4e77c4d0797de","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/801d7c5e2be4e77c4d0797de","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/801d7c5e2be4e77c4d0797de","title":"Technical Project Estimator","description":"The Technical Project Estimator will work with the design and manufacturing staff to interpret specifications and drawings in (Mechanical/Electrical engineering systems) to develop a proposal for submittal to our customers.\nKey Responsibilities:\n· Cost Analysis:\n· Evaluate drawings and specifications to identify all requested materials, labor, and equipment.\n· Determine key variables that influence project costs, such as codes, material prices, and production times.\n· Gather data on costs from suppliers and vendors.\n· Use estimation programs and tools to prepare estimates.\n· Estimate Preparation:\n· Develop detailed cost estimates for projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and other relevant costs.\n· Prepare and submit proposals for projects.\n· Collaboration and Communication:\n· Collaborate with engineers and project managers to refine estimates and budgets.\n· Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and bids.\n· Project Monitoring:\n· Identify and address any cost overruns or deviations from the budget.\nJob Requirements:\n· Education: A.S. degree in Mechanical and/or Electrical systems, or related experience is preferred.\n· Experience: 1-3 years of experience with estimating industrial Plumbing, Electro/Mechanical systems is preferred.\n· CAD: SolidWorks use and review of technical documents experience is a plus.\n· Communications: Strong verbal and written communications skills are required.
