Location: Active Wellness Center at NorthBay - Vacaville, CAPay Transparency: Base Rate of Pay $25.00 - $28.00 /hour DOE; Minimum rates may vary based on local wage laws. Pay depends on factors including site location, specialty, certifications, work experience, and other business needs.Role and ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing, Outreach, and Event Coordinator to join our team. This role is crucial in driving our mission to deliver impactful fitness and wellness programs and foster environments for social connection. The ideal candidate will have a passion for health and wellness, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to engage with diverse audiences. The Marketing, Outreach and Event Coordinator is responsible for generating new membership leads, creating engaging content, and building community.Essential FunctionsCollaborate with Active’s Global Marketing Team, Director of Sales and Site Management Team on initiatives to achieve new membership goals, corporate membership opportunities, and local partnershipsSupport strategic marketing plans, promotional calendars, and collateral creation to promote the local health club and its programsProvide marketing support across digital marketing platforms, including website, video, email and social media to drive sales and engagementManage the club’s social media accounts and respond to all comments, direct messages and inquiriesDraft and distribute Member monthly e-newsletter, member alerts and prospect emailsOrganize and execute various events both in the club and in the community including member socials, community events, corporate events, etc.Coordinate and staff local outreach events to promote the Club’s services and membership sales; promote events through various channels to maximize attendance and engagement.Connect people in the broader community by creating sponsorship/partnership agreements and cultivating strategic cross-promotional relationships with businesses, individuals, and other relevant organizations.Prepare monthly marketing and sales report collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales dataPresent membership information to prospective members and sell memberships when neededAttend management meetings, trainings, and retreatsOther FunctionsBe knowledgeable about all of the club’s programs and activitiesPromote club services and activitiesPerform routine maintenance of equipmentAssist with keeping the club well stocked and cleanAttend Active Wellness site meetings and trainingsHandle injury and illness and security incident reportingQualificationsQualifications and Education RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.Minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing, event planning, or community outreach, preferably in the health and wellness industry.Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Creative thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed for events.Proof of citizenship or legal statusPhysical and Working ConditionsAbility to take the responsibility for the health and safety of othersAbility to stand for several hours in a same shift; ability to lift 25 lbsFitness club environmentMust follow OSHA and Active Wellness safety standardsBenefitsHealth, Dental and Vision Insurance (Full Time)Health Flexible Spending Account (Full Time)Paid Time Off (Full Time)Parking & Transit Flexible Spending Accounts401(k) (Eligible after 1 year of service + 1000 work hours)Legal Support PlanEmployee Assistance Program & Mental Health Support ServiceComplimentary Club Membership and Discounts on Active Products (where applicable)This job description is intended to describe the general requirements for the position.
