In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment and machinery to ensure efficient and safe completion of construction projects. Your expertise in mechanical systems, construction site procedures, and equipment handling will be vital in maintaining productivity and safety standards on-site. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects while honing your skills with state-of-the-art machinery.\nDuties\nOperate heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, tankers, and paving machines with precision and safety.\nConduct pre-operation inspections on all machinery to ensure optimal functioning and identify maintenance needs.\nAssist in site preparation, grading, excavation, material hauling, and paving activities to meet project specifications.\nFollow all safety protocols and construction standards to maintain a secure work environment for all team members.\nCoordinate with team members and supervisors to plan daily operations and adapt to changing project requirements.\nMaintain accurate logs of equipment usage, maintenance records, and operational reports.\nSupport horizontal drilling operations and other specialized tasks as needed on the construction site.\nRequirements\nProven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as excavators (including Caterpillar models), dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, tankers, and paving machinery.\nStrong mechanical knowledge to perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance on machinery.\nValid commercial driver’s license with clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is essential.\nPrior construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with safety procedures and construction workflows.\nAbility to operate specialized equipment including horizontal drilling rigs and water trucks effectively.\nKnowledge of construction materials, processes, and safety regulations relevant to heavy equipment operation.\nExcellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
