In this role, your duties will include performing access control, monitoring security equipment, and patrolling. To ensure success, unarmed security guards should be able to assess security concerns and take proactive steps in maintaining a safe and secure environment.We offer competitive compensation, benefit packages, and retirement plans for eligible full time employees.Job Duty SummaryPatrolling buildings, facilities, and perimeters of assigned sitesInvestigating suspicious or unusual activities and disturbancesPreventing losses and damage by reporting irregularitiesPreventing illegal or inappropriate actions by maintaining a high visibility presenceAuthorizing the entrance of employees, visitors, and vehicles, ensuring that credentials are in orderMonitoring alarm systems and video surveillance systemsProtecting assetsContacting appropriate services such as police and the fire department in cases of emergency Position Type and HoursThis is an hourly full-time position and is eligible for overtime pay.Days and hours or work will vary depending on the operational needs of the company.Nights and weekends will be required as a standard shift period. Must be available to work holidays. Required Education / ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalentA clean driving record with less than 4 points Required QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.Must be at least 18 years of age.Must be able to pass the company's basic training coursesMust own a smartphone, preferably with an NFC readerMust be able to pass a basic criminal background check (CORI)Must be able to pass drug test at time of hire and periodicallyMust have a Massachusetts driver's license.
