Our employees are integral players in support of mission-critical programs focused on our National Security.\n\nRole Description:\nUnder general direction, finds deficiencies with our product delivery lifecycle and architecture and implement industry best practices to improve them.\nOversees and offers input over hiring of a small DevOps team to assist the operation and maintenance of our products.\nInspects, patches, and upgrades our existing product(s) so that they can more reliably deliver to customer environments.\nMaintains development, testing, and production environments.\nManages continuous integration and delivery pipelines to maximize efficiency.\nImplements industry best practices for system hardening and configuration management.\nDevelops and maintains solutions for operational administration, system/data backup, disaster recovery, and security/performance monitoring.\nTests system integrity, implemented designs, application developments and other processes related to infrastructure, making improvements as needed.\nManages code deployments, fixes, updates and related processes.\nWorks with CI/CD tools, and source control (git)\nOffers technical support where needed, developing software for our back-end systems.\n\nStays current with industry trends and source new ways for our business to improve.\n\nRequired Skills and Qualifications:\nTo be eligible for this position you must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.\n\nJUNIOR: Typically requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and two years of related experience.\n\nExperience with deployment technologies, such as Kubernetes (K8s) for container orchestration.\n\nExperience with metrics monitoring and dashboards (Grafana).\nUnderstanding of user access practices and security controls within a system.\nUnderstanding of system administration in various OS environments.\nStrong knowledge of configuration management tools.\nStrong communication and documentation skills.\n Understanding of software development lifecycle best practices.\n Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.\nAble to work on-call hours as required.\n\nDesired Skills and Qualifications:\nUnderstanding of AWS services and cloud management.\nExperience maintaining existing production kubernetes installations.\nExperience with kubernetes configuration management systems such as helm and GitOps.\nContinuous integration processes and tools such as GitLab CI.\nExperience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaboration tools.\nSystem monitoring and analysis.\nFamiliarity with Intelligence Community and DoD mission sets.\nCompTIA Security+ certification or willingness to get certified.\n\nPay Rate:\n\nIn compliance with Virginia's Equal Pay for Equal Work law, the annual base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $140,000. This range represents the base pay for this role and is provided in accordance with Maryland’s requirements to disclose compensation in job postings. Please note that actual compensation may vary based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate’s qualifications, experience, education, skills, internal equity, and market conditions.
