The role involves supporting on-orbit operations, sustaining support systems, labs, and GPS simulators, with occasional travel to Denver, CO and Los Angeles, CA. Occasional off‑shift hours are required to support mission activities.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nPerform system administration tasks such as creation of user accounts, maintain system backups, and provide user support.\n\nCollaborate with third-party suppliers, government customers, and other system personnel to meet mission requirements.\n\nMonitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements.\n\nTroubleshoot issues and outages.\n\nPerform security scans, artifacts gathering, and support security accreditation events.\n\nProvide input on studies for enhanced capabilities and proposal efforts.\n\nAssist in systems/hardware integration, test planning and execution.\n\nQualifications\n\nActive Secret clearance.\n\nMust meet DoD 8570 requirement (current Security+ or equivalent).\n\nBachelor’s degree in engineering or closely related field, or equivalent experience.\n\n3+ years of professional experience in systems engineering or related field.\n\nProven experience in one or more of the following areas:\n\nWindows system imaging, patching, network integration, daily monitoring, troubleshooting.\n\nSystem security mechanisms (e.g., intrusion detection, ACLs).\n\nNetwork LAN/WAN management.\n\nPlanning and executing system integration activities (requirements creation, ICD development, test planning, execution).\n\nKnowledge and experience in executing system engineering and/or software engineering processes to meet mission requirements.\n\nDesired Skills\n\nExperience with Solaris, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, VMware or other virtualization platforms.\n\nWindows Active Directory management and other Windows services for domains (Group Policy, DNS, etc.).\n\nRisk Management Framework (RMF)/Information Assurance knowledge.\n\nExperience creating tools in C/C++, VB.NET/C#, VBA, MATLAB, or SQL.\n\nParticipation in trade studies or proposal work.\n\nGround segment or telemetry monitoring system experience.\n\nAbility to operate in a dynamic environment and handle multiple roles.\n\nSystems thinking and ability to apply appropriate skills to solve problems and implement constructive change.\n\nBenefits\n\nMedical, dental, vision, life insurance.\n\nShort‑ and long‑term disability.\n\n401(k) with company match.\n\nFlexible spending accounts and EAP.\n\nEducation assistance.\n\nParental leave.\n\nPaid time off and holidays.\n\nCompetitive pay range: $89,300 – $157,550, depending on location.\n\nAdditional Information\nPosition requires U.S. citizenship for security clearance.
