Restoration Estimator / Project Manager
Mold, Water Mitigation, Fire Restoration & Emergency Response
Service Area: Midcoast Maine
We are an established and growing restoration company serving Maine and New Hampshire, seeking an experienced Estimator / Project Manager to manage mold remediation, water mitigation, fire restoration, and emergency response projects from initial inspection through close-out.
This role is ideal for a restoration professional who understands the full lifecycle of restoration projects — from emergency response to scheduled remediation — and can confidently manage scopes, budgets, and client expectations in the field.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Initial Response & Project Assessment
Respond to emergency and scheduled mold, water, and fire losses throughout Midcoast Maine
Perform site inspections, assess damage, and determine appropriate remediation and mitigation strategies
Coordinate mobilization of crews, equipment, and materials as needed
Estimating & Scoping
Develop accurate scopes of work and estimates using Xactimate
Identify supplemental, mold-related, emergency, and change order opportunities with proper documentation
Communicate scope, pricing, and approvals with insurance adjusters, clients, and internal teams
Project Management
Manage projects from initial response through completion and rebuild handoff
Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, equipment, and schedules
Track budgets, timelines, and job profitability
Ensure job documentation, photos, reports, and moisture logs are completed accurately and on time
Client & Stakeholder Communication
Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners, property managers, and insurance carriers
Provide consistent updates and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle
Communicate clearly during both emergency situations and planned remediation work
Quality, Safety & Compliance
Ensure work is completed in accordance with IICRC guidelines, safety requirements, and company standards
Confirm jobsite safety, containment integrity, and proper close-out
What We’re Looking For
2+ years experience managing mold, water, and/or fire restoration projects
Strong working knowledge of Xactimate
Understanding of mold remediation protocols, water mitigation drying methods, and fire restoration workflows
Experience handling both emergency response and scheduled restoration projects
Ability to manage multiple projects across Midcoast Maine
Strong communication, organization, and decision-making skills
Preferred (Not Required)
IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, AMRT, FSRT, etc.)
Experience working directly with insurance carriers and adjusters
Background coordinating mitigation and reconstruction scopes
Familiarity with NH and Southern ME restoration and insurance markets
What We Offer
Competitive compensation based on experience
Company vehicle or vehicle allowance (as applicable)
Phone, tablet, estimating software, and field support
Clear processes for emergency response and scheduled project execution
Long-term opportunity with an established restoration company
Why This Role
We operate a structured, professional restoration business that values planning, documentation, and clear communication — not chaos. Emergency response is part of what we do, but so is well-managed, scheduled mold and restoration work.
