Heavy Equipment Operator

SUMMARY OF POSITION The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining various types of heavy machinery, such as bulldozers, excavators, offroad haul trucks, and skid steers. This role involves performing tasks related to construction, excavation, and site preparation while ensuring safety and efficiency. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment including bulldozers, excavators, offroad haul trucks, and skid steers. Prepare construction site by digging trenches, leveling ground, and moving materials. Load and unload materials such as soil, sand, gravel, and debris using machinery. Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site. Conduct pre-operation inspections to ensure equipment is in safe working condition and report any issues. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction and/or environmental remediation field OSHA 10 of higher construction training preferred HAZWOPER 40 Forklift certification preferred Experience operating hydraulic attachments PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform work Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds and heavier weights with the proper equipment Reasonable accommodations are made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Applicants must submit an application.
