Sustaining Project Manager

Job Title : Sustaining Project ManagerLocation: Buffalo Grove, ILDuration: Long-Term ContractPosition Overviewwe are seeking an experienced Sustaining Project Manager to support post-launch and sustaining activities for medical device products within a regulated manufacturing environment. This role will lead cross-functional initiatives focused on product life cycle management, manufacturing support, process improvements, and continuous product enhancements.Key Responsibilitylead sustaining and post-launch projects for medical device products.Coordinate activities across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Regulatory teams.Manage product enhancements, process improvements, issue resolution, and change control initiatives.Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, risk assessments, and stakeholder communications.Ensure project execution aligns with FDA, GMP, and Quality System requirements.Drive continuous improvement efforts and manufacturing optimisation projects.Monitor project milestones, deliverables, and overall program performancee.Required QualificationBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related fie5+ years of Project Management experience within the Medical Device industryExperience supporting product launches, sustaining engineering, and post-market activitieses.Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and regulated environmentts.Knowledge of FDA regulations, GMP, and Quality Management Systemms.Excellent leadership, communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skillsls.Preferred SkillsExperience managing cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environmentStrong risk management, change control, and problem-solving capabilityPMP certification is a plusExperience with continuous improvement methodologies and operational excellence
