In this role, you will develop weapon control system code for multiple projects across the Battle Management System portfolio. Tasks range in scope from coding on embedded microcontrollers to developing simulators that include interactive GUI designs. You will support installation and assessment of embedded systems locally and at external locations. This position is located onsite at NSWCDD in Dahlgren, VA.\r\nBenefits SCCI offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including Health, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability benefits, 401k with Company Match, time off consisting of 2 weeks of paid vacation, 48 hours of sick/personal leave, and 11 paid holidays.\r\nResponsibilities Debug and troubleshoot hardware-software interfaces at a low-level using tools such as an oscilloscope and logic analyzers.\r\nDiagnose and resolve network-related issues, including network configuration, connectivity, and data transmission problems.\r\nWrite test cases, perform unit testing, and validate hardware-software integration.\r\nWork in a fast-paced, rapidly changing field environment with a focus on fielding a product.\r\nSupport tasking for multiple projects.\r\nEssential Skills and Experience Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret Security Clearance.\r\nBachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in computer engineering and/or electrical engineering; degree requirements may be waived for candidates with direct hands-on experience with a weapon system application.\r\nMinimum of three (3) years of experience demonstrating the ability to concept, prototype, design, code, and engineer embedded software solutions.\r\nKnowledge of C#, Java, or C++.\r\nKnowledge of hardware architectures, microcontrollers, and communication protocols.\r\nKnowledge of GUI development.\r\nKnowledge of TCP/IP protocol suite, including network stack integration and socket programming.\r\nProficiency with widely used version control systems, such as Git.\r\nKnowledge of tools like Jenkins and GitLab.\r\nPreferred Skills and Experience Knowledge and experience with weapon system integration.\r\nKnowledge and experience of military standards, such as MIL-STD-1553 and UAI STANAG 4586.\r\nExperience with integration with GPS, sensor balls, and safety interlock circuitry.\r\nSCCI is committed to providing a comprehensive and competitive benefits package to meet the needs of employees and their families.
