{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"7f8aab93122f3780dc74b60c","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/7f8aab93122f3780dc74b60c","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/7f8aab93122f3780dc74b60c","title":"Paint Operator","description":"Shift 1 - 6am - 2:30pm\n\nJOB PURPOSE:\nApplies paint or powder coat to parts according to customer specifications and inspects own work to verify conformance to customer and quality requirements.\n\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nReviews all documents relating to the job at hand.\nPaint surfaces with spray guns and/or electrostatic spray guns.\nCleans and prepares surface of articles to be painted or powder coated.\nUnderstanding of cleaning station (Pressure Island).\nAble to perform titration and keep up the solutions in accordance with specifications.\nMust wear PPE (respirator required) while performing operation.\nKeep log records and able to follow work instructions and engineering drawings.\nContinually monitors and is responsible for the quality of their work.\nStacks parts on a pallet without instruction.\nInspects own work for conformance to meet quality requirements.\nCompletes production documentation and related paperwork.\nKeep all work areas clean and organized.\nDaily and weekly maintenance on all machines.\nReport any safety or maintenance concerns to management immediately.\nTechnical support or help another team member, if necessary, under supervision of supervisor.\nCommitment to all safety policies and regulations always.\nMaintain workstation to 5S standards.\nOther duties may be assigned by lead or Supervisor.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:\n1-3 years prior experience in paint prep is preferred.\nCommitment to all safety at all times.\nMust past respiratory test and able to work with fitted respirator during work shift.\nHigh school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience preferred.\nFamiliarity with sheet metal parts is preferred.\nAbility to read and understand basic work instructions, engineering blueprints and specifications.\nGood organizational & communication skills.\nKeen eye for detail.\nProactive, reliable, and a team player.\nAbility to work in a diverse environment and be sensitive to issues of diversity and inclusion.\n\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nNone\n\nMEASURABLES:\nPerformance to Schedule\nDefective Parts Per Million\nSafety Score\nSUPPORTING COMPETENCIES (Behaviors):\nSolves Problems\nDrives for Results\nDemonstrates a Collaborative Style\nPursues Personal Development\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nWhile performing duties of this job, the employees is regularly required to stand, use hands, and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hand and arms; and talk to hear.\nThe employee is occasionally required to lift and climb balancing.\nFrequent walking, bending, lifting, and reaching.\nAbility to lift 50 pounds.\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\nUse of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) or protective gear on a daily basis.\nOccasionally exposed to risk OD electrical shock.\nExposed to moving mechanical parts, humid condition, fumes or airborne particles, flying metal burrs and chips and possible chemical irritants such as water-based coolants, hydraulic oils, degreasing soap and mineral spirit.\nOccasionally exposed to uncomfortable cold or heat.\nThe noise level in the work environment is usually loud\nExposed to hazardous equipment on a weekly basis.\nWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
