Assesses the comprehensive nursing needs of an assigned group of patients. Coordinates the patient and family/significant other education process. Continuously plans, implements, and evaluates patient care, incorporating patient and family/significant other into the process. Participates with physician partners and other interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient and family/significant other plan of care. Communicates effectively all relevant information (e.g., patient information, safety issues, problems with equipment, quality issues, etc.) to immediate supervisor, in timely way. Communicates and documents changes in patient condition, on a timely basis, to charge nurse/supervisor and physician. Performs other duties as assigned. License, Certification, Education or Experience:REQUIRED for the position:Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of WashingtonMinimum of one year experience within the last 3 years of care delivery in a monitored care area: PACU, ICU, ED or telemetryCurrent American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hireCurrent American Heart Association ACLS by date of hireCompletion of unit competencies for peri-anesthesia care within probationary period or first 2 months if an employee transferNight and Weekend call assignments as per PACU Call PolicyProficiency in airway management/adjunctsProficiency with IV skills and techniquesAbility to identify EKG rhythms and related necessary interventionsUnderstanding of Pain Management and related-pharmacologyUnderstanding of Cardiac and emergency medication pharmacologyPALS or ENPC within 6 months of hireDESIRED for the position:CPAN, CAPA, CCRN and/or CEN certificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in NursingBenefit Information:Choices that care for you and your familyAt EvergreenHealth, we appreciate our employees’ commitment and contribution to our success.
