Create a nurturing, positive learning environment and develop strategies to help the individuals cope effectively with social, emotional and physical situations of daily living and facilitate independent performance in these areas.\n\nMust be able to perform all job functions and duties that are required of the Direct Support Professionals and Lead Direct Support Professional. Must be able to perform all job functions required. Must be able to lift and transfer 70-75lbs. The work is active and performed both inside and outside of the home.\n\nMust be able to utilize approved protective hold techniques in order to keep you, individuals, and co-workers safe. Obtain and maintain certified medication administration, CPR, First Aid, PMT and all other required trainings.\n\nAl all times is fully knowledgeable regarding each individual's Individual Plan of Service, programs, service needs, diets, medications and routines. Implements Individualized Plan of Service ensuring that all programs are implemented in a timely manner, that all staff are in-serviced, follow individual programs, and . document according to agency policy and state regulatory requirement. Conduct regular observation checks at all programs. In conjunction with the Supervisor, submission of quarterlies/IP reports as required.\n\nMonitor and provide care coordination for medical, physical, and behavioral changes in individuals on a daily basis. Document and report any and all changes to the appropriate department, i.e. Nursing, PT, OT, Dietary or other consultants involved.\n\nTakes steps to correct any and all errors observed in regards to individual programs and support needs; reports issues to Supervisor.\n\nResponsible for the finances in the home, including the use of petty cash, and individual funds including but not limited to: ensuring individual balances are below $1,200, Bank statements match the ledger, and individuals' cash on hand doesn't exceed $40.00 at month's end. Provide accurate accounting of agency petty cash and individuals' funds in an informative, auditable condition as required or requested. Report any discrepancies to Supervisor immediately.\n\nPage Break\n\nResponsible for the completion of scheduled staff to individual ratio, and ensure that safe staffing ratio is in place at all times, including medication administration coverage.\n\nEnsure the cleanliness of the home, inside and outside. Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of agency vehicles and request any maintenance needed for the vehicle or property promptly. Ensure home is adequately stocked with food and cleaning supplies.\n\nEnsure that the individual's right to privacy is maintained and adhere to CRI's Confidentiality Policy.\n\nConduct oneself in a professional manner when interacting with supervisors, coworkers, consultants, families and members of the community. Must be a positive role model for staff and individuals.\n\nConduct monthly staff meetings in conjunction with Supervisor, documenting content and attendance. Provide mandatory training to all staff (i.e. individual programs, individual needs, and all aspects of their care) as required by agency policy and DDS requirements in conjunction with Program Supervisor.\n\nEnsure that individuals follow a written daily schedule, which includes: a variety of community-based outings, programs, Activities of daily living, leisure activities and positioning guidelines that meet active treatment standards.\n\nEnsure that the program remains in compliance with DDS regulations, and be present at all inspections in conjunction with Supervisor.\n\nFamiliarize oneself with CR! Policies and Procedures, ensuring compliance.\n\nRotate On-Call with assigned Program Pod, and be responsible for the overall running of the residential program.\n\nComplete monthly Tickler and submit in conjunction with Program Supervisor.\n\nMonitor compliance to safety requirements. Conduct fire drills monthly, or delegate appropriately. Maintain fire extinguishers and other safety related systems.\n\nResponsible for interviewing and recommending to the Program Director, the hiring of new direct care staff in conjunction with Supervisor.\n\nParticipate in training opportunities. Ensure staff is aware of required trainings and meet agency and DDS training requirements. Remove staff from schedule as directed by Program Supervisor for training non-compliance. Notify Program Supervisor, Director and Human Resources immediately when staff trainings expire.\n\nFollow-up with staff to ensure individual's incident reports are completed as required in conjunction with the Program Supervisor.\n\nPage Break\n\nSupervise staff on a daily basis. Supervision will relate lo progressive discipline, evaluations.
