About the RoleA confidential, fast-growing company in the digital health space is seeking a Payroll Operations & Financial Audit Manager to oversee payouts, verify accuracy across performance-based compensation, and conduct a targeted audit of vendor billing.This position is ideal for someone who thrives on precision, enjoys reconciling complex data, and can implement clean, repeatable financial systems.Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll & Payout Operations (Ongoing)Manage monthly payout cycles for commissionable sales, referral bonuses, and performance-based retainers.Audit all sales and performance data to confirm eligibility, accuracy, and timeliness before payment approval.Maintain detailed records, summaries, and reconciliation reports.Identify discrepancies, implement controls, and streamline payment workflows.Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure transparency and compliance with internal standards.Vendor Billing Audit (One-Time Project)Review 7 months of vendor invoices and payments for accuracy.Reconcile invoices against contracts and internal records.Identify overbilling, duplicate charges, or missing credits.Deliver a final report summarizing findings and recommended process improvements.QualificationsAdvanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (lookups, pivots, error-checking).Familiarity with commission-based pay structures or payout reconciliations.Exceptional attention to detail, integrity, and ability to manage sensitive information.Strong documentation and communication skills.Engagement DetailsPhase 1: One-time vendor audit (2–3 weeks)Phase 2: Ongoing payroll ownership (part-time or full-time, depending on performance and fit)Remote position with flexible hoursCompetitive compensationHow to ApplyUpload your resume and a short note describing a similar payroll or audit project you’ve led.
