This person will be responsible for strategic projects, aimed at improving equipment safety and process efficiency. This person will apply expertise and knowledge to improve and maintain complex critical systems and equipment utilized in the production process. They will conceptualize, develop, implement, validate, and optimize equipment and tooling to achieve scale, stability, effectiveness, and safety of current manufacturing processes, serve as a technical liaison between PE, R&D, and Processing Operations to develop or improve processes in parallel with development. Demonstrate significant influence within the department to improve department efficiency, by standardizing engineering approaches to problem solving, equipment validation requirements and other process engineering methods. The Senior Process Engineer requires limited direction, is self-organized, and can make independent decisions. The Senior Engineer mentors and guides junior equipment engineers.\nBelow is a summary of responsibilities for this position:\nResponsible for the research and development of new equipment and manufacturing methods, working closely with Design Services and specialized outside engineering companies, to improve safety, product quality, and yield, and to reduce costs as it relates to critical systems or processing equipment.\nInitiate technical exchange with the stakeholders to develop and recommend strategies for improving the efficiency of operations by modernizing existing equipment and manufacturing methods.\nInfluence team decisions across the organization.\nRoutinely report to management on technical project updates and new technology.\nEstimate future manufacturing requirements and perform capacity analyses that can influence executive decisions on capital investment.\nCollaborate with appropriate departments/ teams to develop product design and tooling processes to ensure efficient processing methods\nAnalyze data for investigation, productivity improvement, cost analysis; document and communicate results\nInstall, validate, and troubleshoot processing equipment; generate the appropriate documentation\nEnsure compliance with internal and external regulations and protocols\nAssist Process Engineers and Engineering Services team in troubleshooting, in the event of a problem.\nThe Senior Engineer mentors and provides guidance to junior engineers.\nPresent data and report to senior colleagues and management\nPerform risk assessments of the equipment and processes currently in use.
