Job Title: Line Cook                                                    FLSA Status : Non-Exempt                                          Job Status: Full-Time/Part-Time Schedule: Varies Job Summary The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, with some experience in various culinary settings. We work hard to maintain a welcoming and comfortable work environment, we expect the same from our candidates. Essential Job Functions: Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and quality standards Assist with menu planning and development Ensure food preparation meets food safety and sanitation standards Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient food production Maintain a clean and organized work environment Monitor food supplies and equipment levels Follows all health and safety regulations and follows all sanitation guidelines.    Prepares ingredients by peeling, cutting, chopping, slicing, and portioning with minimal waste and maximum efficiency. Maintains a clean and safe kitchen and ensures kitchen is stocked with all necessary cleaning supplies. Performs other job-related duties as directed. Maintains food quality in accordance with restaurant standards. Communicates and works together with coworkers as a team. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Requirements Knowledge of food service and catering practices Proficiency in food preparation techniques and knife skills Understanding of culinary terminology and techniques Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Ability to handle stressful situations and be able to prevent and/or handle emergency situations. A cheerful, positive attitude when working with a variety of people, and be able to work well under pressure. Responsible, neat and clean in appearance.
