This team drives some of Circle’s most critical initiatives: billing and plan infrastructure, trial and onboarding flows, A/B experimentation, and now — expanding into analytics and member experiences. With millions of members engaging across Circle communities, the work you do here will have an outsized impact. If you thrive in a data-driven environment, love refining experiences to feel seamless and intuitive, and want to help scale the systems that power growth at Circle, this role is for you.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nShipping often and with care, balancing speed with thoughtful, quality work.\nOwning end-to-end projects — from concept and development to rollout and measurable results.\nPartnering with engineers, designers and product leaders to craft member experiences that feel beautiful, simple, and premium.\nScaling our billing infrastructure to support both self-service and sales-led use cases.\nDesigning and implementing A/B tests to validate changes that boost user acquisition, retention, and expansion.\nBuilding world-class analytics that empower community owners with deep insights to understand and grow their communities.\nImplementing event instrumentation for each initiative to ensure impact can be tracked.\nWhat you’ll need to be successful\n\nStrong alignment with our values,\nYou are proficient in English (spoken, written, and reading) at a CEFR Level C2 / ILR Level 5.\n6+ years experience working as a full-stack engineer on complex web applications.\nStrong proficiency in Ruby on Rails, MySQL/Postgresql, ReactJS, TypeScript, CSS/SCCS, TailwindCSS.\nSolid experience in both frontend and backend development is expected, though deep expertise in both isn’t required. You should be able to independently build features end-to-end, and excelling more in one area than the other is perfectly fine.\nProven track record of shipping customer-facing or consumer-facing experiences and solving hard problems.\nComfortable in highly collaborative environments, working closely with stakeholders across engineering, product, design, and go-to-market teams.\nBonus points\nExperience working in a growth-oriented engineering role.\nFamiliarity with billing tools or payments infrastructure (Stripe).\nHands-on experience building or maintaining analytics systems, with a solid understanding of observability best practices.\n$130,000 - $140,000 USD per year\nThe cash compensation range shown is a starting point.
