Overview Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight across diverse routes with energy and precision! We are a small local company looking for someone dependable and self motivated. In this vital role, you’ll operate tractor-trailers with either a hopper or end dump trailer. Your expertise in driving manual transmission vehicles and handling specialized freight will ensure timely, safe deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Drivers are paid 30% off gross weight per load. Products you will haul are feed grade commodities, urea, lime, occasional stone and other aggregates. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across assigned routes. Some trucks are equipped with ELD other trucks are still on paper log. Drive route-driven deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and readiness; report any mechanical issues promptly. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and route details in compliance with federal regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and office manger to coordinate delivery schedules and address any logistical/paperwork issues promptly. Qualifications Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record. 2 years experience min. Ability to pass and maintain a clean drug test. Clean criminal background. Proven experience operating tractor-trailers in a commercial setting. Must be able to operate manual 13 & 18 speed transmission vehicles. Ability to load & unload freight from tarp covered hopper or end dump trailers. Products you will haul are bulk grains, urea, lime, occasional stone and other aggregates. Knowledge of route driving best practices and safety procedures for long-haul or local deliveries. Strong attention to detail for vehicle inspections and documentation accuracy. Driver is responsible for keeping the equipment clean inside and out.
