Because we have strong reason to believe the position will be approved soon, we are proceeding with identifying qualified candidates and conducting interviews. **\nAs an EMI/EMC Design and Test Engineer – Space Exploration Avionics Systems you will:\nReport directly to the Electronics and Electrical Section Manager as part of a group of 50 other Electronics and Electrical Engineers\nWork with other EMI/EMC engineers in support of the Avionics Division at NASA Johnson Space Cente\nSupport EMI/EMC testing performed in the onsite EMI/EMC test chambers on various space-flight electronic hardware systems\nWork with the Test Director for EMC test projects to develop test criteria and procedures\nOversee complete tests, perform tests, reduce the test data, and write the final test reports\nWrite update briefings to management on any significant tests that are performed in the EMI facility\nSupport EMC Test Readiness Reviews, EMI lab management, EMC analyses (analytical and numerical), Preliminary Design Reviews, and Critical Design Reviews\nSupport design engineers with consultation and review of electronic circuitry and cable designs for EMC compliance\nSupport projects in new modeling and simulation techniques for testing hardware\nSupport design engineers in bench top lab EMI assessments\nDevelop correlation equations to estimate pass/fail criteria in onsite EMI chambers\nWork in a laboratory environment, following standard operating procedures\nPerform other duties as required\nHere’s What You’ll Need:\nRequisition Qualifications:\nThis position has been posted at multiple levels.
