We are looking for a highly motivated Special Procedures Technologist to work in our cardiac cath lab. This per-diem position would require 20 hours/week (2 10-hour shifts) performing scrub and radiographic duties for procedures including cardiac catheterizations, peripheral angiography, clot retrieval, pacer implant/explant and more. In the future as our cath lab grows, we will also be looking to cover 5 hours of STEMI call on Saturdays.
Responsibilities:
Perform prescribed specialized radiographic procedures utilizing ionizing radiation as directed by provider, departmental/organizational policies, procedures and protocols
Assist with preparation and transport of patient to and from cath lab, including sterile site preparation, surgical draping, and applying hemostasis device(s)
Set up procedural tray and scrub for all cath lab cases, assisting provider with coronary and peripheral wire/device/implant insertion and management
Maintain cath lab environment, cleanliness, supplies and equipment per protocol
Requirements:
BLS
ACLS (within 6 months of hire)
Arizona CRT License
Experience in Cardiac Cath Lab
Desired, but not required:
LAAO, PFO, ASD experience
