Have good communication skills, both verbal and written, to be able to handle supervision, training, and development of employees, and maintain safety and sanitation standards while handling guest concerns.\r\nEssential Functions / Responsibilities:\r\nDirects the work of all restaurant employees.\r\nAssist with the recruitment, interviewing, hiring & training, and development of restaurant staff.\r\nAssists in the development of plans supportive of company strategies to achieve business growth (sales and profits) and customer satisfaction.\r\nCoordinates and controls restaurant operations to include front and back of house.\r\nEnsures that all menu items are prepared, portioned, and presented properly in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner according to all established standards and specifications.\r\nCompletes assigned office duties: guest check validations, timely drawer changes, audits, daily and weekly close-outs, schedules, and inventory.\r\nAssist in ensuring that facility and equipment are adhered to, through preventive maintenance, energy conservation, repairs, security measures, and that safety and sanitation requirements are met at all times.\r\nEnsures customer satisfaction through effective and efficient service and a clean and pleasant environment.\r\nAdditional Essential Functions / Responsibilities:\r\nComplete all training courses.\r\nAssists in the investigations of complaints and provides support and guidance and coaching to all employees as needed.\r\nParticipates in the development of certified hourly trainers.\r\nQualification Standards:\r\nSuccessful completion of Manager in Training program and additional training as required.\r\nExcellent communication skills to address staff and guest concerns.\r\nGood organizational skills\r\nKnowledge of all facets of restaurant operations\r\nAbility to assist in training and filling positions as needed.\r\nMust have basic math skills including an understanding of restaurant cash register and cash handling procedures.\r\nMust complete all training, anti-discrimination & anti-harassment training and embrace our company's nondiscrimination & anti-harassment policies and values.\r\nIf you are a skilled and motivated individual looking for an immediate and exciting opportunity in the food and beverage industry, then don't miss out on this chance to join Denny's team.
