This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating the safe, efficient movement, staging, preparation, loading, and shipment of industrial generators and related equipment.\nGenerator Source is a leading buyer and seller of surplus and used commercial power-generation equipment, serving customers throughout the world. For more than 38 years, we have specialized in low-hour industrial diesel and natural-gas generators up to 2,000 kW from manufacturers such as Cummins, Caterpillar, Kohler, Generac, and MTU.\nBased in Brighton, CO., our team works with large, complex equipment every day. The Yard Foreman plays an important role in maintaining a safe, organized, productive yard while leading the team responsible for preparing equipment for delivery, shipment, rental, and customer use.\nYARD FOREMAN RESPONSIBILITES\nLead, direct, and assign daily work for the Yard team to ensure priorities, deadlines, and operational goals are met.\nCoordinate the safe, efficient receipt, staging, preparation, loading, and shipment of generators, trailers, and related equipment.\nInspect equipment before shipment and upon return to help ensure units are clean, complete, properly identified, and ready for delivery or customer use.\nOversee yard inventory organization, equipment staging, and material handling to maintain an orderly and efficient operation.\nEnsure generators and related equipment are properly prepared for sale, rental, delivery, or shipment, including washing, painting, replacing panels or doors, basic repairs, and other appearance or readiness work as assigned.\nMaintain a clean, safe, organized, and professional yard, shop, storage, and work area.\nEnsure safe and proper use, inspection, and storage of forklifts, loaders, trailers, lifting equipment, tools, and other yard equipment.\nTrain, coach, and support Yard Technicians on safe work practices, quality expectations, equipment handling, and department procedures.\nMonitor work quality and address deficiencies, damage, safety concerns, or incomplete work promptly.\nCoordinate with Operations, Sales, Service, Rentals, and other departments to support equipment movement and customer delivery needs.\nMaintain accurate records related to equipment movement, yard inventory, inspections, damage, repairs, and other assigned documentation.\nPromote compliance with Company safety policies, including required PPE, housekeeping, equipment inspections, and incident reporting.\nPerform hands-on yard and equipment-preparation work as needed to support the team and meet operational demands.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nSKILL REQUISITES\nSeven or more years of experience in yard operations, equipment handling, inventory control, logistics, or a related operational environment; prior lead or supervisory experience preferred.\nStrong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of generators, industrial equipment, trailers, forklifts, loaders, or similar equipment preferred.\nKnowledge of safe equipment operation, material handling, loading and unloading practices, and basic mechanical functions.\nWorking knowledge of crane operations, rigging, lifting practices, and safe load handling; ability to coordinate effectively with third-party crane companies, operators, riggers, and transportation providers for equipment loading, unloading, placement, and movement.\nDemonstrated ability to lead, assign work, train employees, and hold team members accountable for quality, safety, and productivity.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage equipment staging, yard inventory, work priorities, and multiple daily demands.\nHigh attention to detail, particularly regarding equipment condition, identification, completeness, cleanliness, and shipment readiness.\nBasic to intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email, and the ability to learn Company systems used for inventory, equipment tracking, or work assignments.\nClear verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with Yard, Service, Sales, Operations, Transportation, and other departments.\nConsistent commitment to safe work practices, including use of required PPE, safe operation of equipment, housekeeping, and compliance with Company safety policies.\nAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical work, including lifting, climbing, bending, standing, and operating yard equipment.\nYARD HOURS: 7:00a.m. to 4:00p.m.\nCOMPENSATION: $37.72 - $46.23\nThis position is full-time and is located in Brighton, Colorado\nGenerator Source is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
