The Substation Relay Engineer specializes in the design, setting, testing, and maintenance of protective relay systems within high-voltage substations, ensuring grid reliability and safety. They develop relay logic to detect faults (short circuits, overcurrent) and isolate equipment to prevent widespread outages, often working with voltages from 12kV up to 500kV.
