Care Partner / C.N.A (2 East) - 7pm-7:30am Care Partners are responsible for providing assistance to staff and patients, helping to create a safe and supportive environment. They perform duties in the direct and indirect treatment of patients as directed by RN staff. Performs computer charting functions to ensure an accurate and complete patient record. Responsibilities include applying cardiac monitor in alignment with approved policies, procedures, and physician orders, completing assigned tasks in alignment with infection control standards, documenting and reporting care delivered to patients under the direct supervision of an RN, obtaining and maintaining professional knowledge by completing required knowledge and skills through orientation and competency activities specific to the unit, unit based in-service programs, and seeking new clinical learning opportunities, promoting a safe environment by maintaining high fall risk precautions, skin risk precautions, and patient specific precautions, promoting patient comfort and mobility through ambulation, turning, and repositioning, providing direct age-appropriate care to patients under the supervision of the RN, assisting with activities of daily living, performing EKG's and finger stick blood sugars and bladder scans, and supporting relationship-based care by providing compassionate, holistic care to patients, family, and co-workers and promoting a safe, caring, and healing environment.
Requirements include a high school diploma, BLS or CPR certification within 90 days of hire, CNA or completion of the first semester of an RN program at Sarah Bush Lincoln, and an estimated compensation range of $18.68 - $28.95 based on experience.
