Senior Accountant

Second Nature Brands (“SNB”), is on a mission to grow from $500M to $1B over the next 4 years through an aggressive combination of M&A and organic growth. Reporting to the Assistant Corporate Controller, the Senior Accountant will be an essential member of the accounting team, working in a fast-paced, high growth, and customer-centric environment. The successful candidate will be key in developing and implementing best practices for the accounting and finance team.Essential Duties And Responsibilities IncludeParticipates in the month-end close process to ensure financial statements are prepared accurately.Prepares journal entries, monthly account reconciliations, and other monthly financial statements.Assists in research and resolves reconciliation variances in financial statements.Analyzes current processes to identify best practices and drive improvements in the month-end close and reporting process and internal control.Develops project plans, determines deliverables, and executes small-scale project rollouts.Assists leadership in implementation and roll-outs of large-scale projects and carries out other special projects as required.Collaborates cross functionally with team members and communicates relevant information clearly to stakeholders.Upholds the security and confidentiality of documents and data within area of responsibility.Maintain lender reporting deliverables, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.Ownership of financial master data, ensuring alignment and reconciliation with consolidation system. Perform special projects related to acquisitions and subsequent integration.Assist with external audit and year-end tax requests as necessary.Assist with system implementation efforts, data migration, and other ad hoc projects as needed.Qualifications And Experience4-6 years of experience, CPG industry experience a plusSAP S4, Group Reporting and SAC experience and/or ERP implementation experience preferred Strong analytical mindset with focus on process improvement and automationProficient user of Microsoft office suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)Excellent communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skillsExcellent organizational and time management skillsMulti facility, manufacturing experience Ability to express concepts effectively, both verbally and in writingPrior experience developing reporting packages, reconciliations, work instructions, etc.We are an equal employment opportunity employer-Second Nature Brands is a leading U.S. manufacturer of premium and better-for-you snacking and treat products.
