They should be comfortable developing complex system-level software, possess excellent debugging and problem-solving skills, take ownership of product quality, and be able to balance security, performance, reliability, and usability while delivering enterprise-grade solutions.\n\nThe role will be based in Orlando, FL and is an in-office position.\n\nJOB SCOPE\n\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain ThreatLocker's macOS endpoint agent and supporting components.\nDevelop secure macOS services, background processes, System Extensions, Network Extensions, XPC Services, LaunchDaemons, and user-facing applications.\nIntegrate macOS functionality with ThreatLocker's policy engine, management portal, and cloud platform.\nDevelop and maintain real-time policy enforcement for applications, files, storage devices, network activity, and privilege elevation.\nLeverage Apple security technologies including Endpoint Security Framework, Network Extension Framework, System Extensions, XPC Services, and LaunchDaemons.\nBuild and improve user interfaces using AppKit and SwiftUI.\nOptimize application performance, reliability, scalability, and security across supported macOS versions.\nDiagnose and resolve complex issues involving system permissions, security frameworks, networking, and enterprise deployments.\nResearch new macOS platform features, security changes, and OS updates to ensure continued compatibility and protection.\nCollaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver new features and continuously improve the ThreatLocker platform.\nTake ownership of product quality by identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving complex issues while continuously improving performance, reliability, and security.\nSolid understanding of macOS architecture, security controls, application lifecycle and system extensions.\nExperience with Apple frameworks such as Endpoint Security, Network Extension, Network.framework, Security, SystemConfiguration, or related system APIs.\nStrong knowledge of operating-system concepts, including processes, threads, memory management, interprocess communication, file systems, and permissions.\n\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\n\n2+ years of professional macOS software development experience.\nStrong proficiency in Swift and Objective-C.\nExperience developing macOS applications, agents, services, system components, or endpoint software.\nExperience working with APIs, local storage, logging, and secure client-server communication.\nAbility to troubleshoot complex macOS issues involving permissions, networking, System Extensions, and enterprise deployments.\nStrong understanding of secure coding practices.\nAbility to write clean, maintainable, production-quality code.\nExperience using source control systems such as Git.\nExcellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.\n\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\n\nExperience with C and/or C++.\nExperience with Apple's Endpoint Security Framework, Network Extension Framework, or System Extensions.\nExperience developing endpoint protection, application control, endpoint detection and response (EDR), device control, or other cybersecurity software.\nExperience with code signing, notarization, provisioning profiles, and macOS application deployment.\nFamiliarity with enterprise device management (MDM) solutions and Apple Business Manager.\nKnowledge of macOS internals, process management, networking, and filesystem security.\nExperience developing endpoint detection and response, application control, Zero Trust, antivirus, firewall, VPN, or other endpoint-security products.\nHands-on experience with the macOS Endpoint Security framework and Network Extension providers.\nExperience working with Swift, C, C++, Objective-C, SQLite, POSIX APIs, or low-level Darwin interfaces.\n\nWORKING CONDITIONS\n\nThe duties described below are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position.
