They must have solid decision making skills and be a critical thinker.\nJob Responsibilities:\n• Supervise the construction of roads, buildings, airports, tunnels, dams, bridges and water supply and sewage systems.\n• Review the cost effectiveness, timing, reliability and safety of certain design models to determine project feasibility and approve final design implementation plan.\n• Analyze and evaluate impact of project to government regulations and potential environmental hazards.\n• Manage and direct staff members and the construction, operations, or maintenance activities at project site.\nStory Behind the Need – Business Group & Key Projects\n· Position’s Contributions to Work Group\n· Team culture\n· Surrounding team & key projects\n· Purpose of this team\n· Reason for the request\nPosition’s Contributions to Work Group:\n- The role provides critical support in terms of Assurance of Supply, Supplier performance work that is supported by the Work group for the enterprise needs.\nReason/motivation for request:\n- Addition\n-\nTypical Day in the Role\n· Typical task breakdown and rhythm\n· Interaction level with team\n· Work environment description\nTypical task breakdown:\n- Travel to suppliers and Caterpillar plants in USA, Mexico and sometime international locations.\n- Weekly travel to Caterpillar plants in Decatur\n- Work on supporting Critical Suppliers, NPI build parts development, fit up, process improvement work. Collaborate with Category, Agile teams and facility as needed to ensure parts arrive with good quality and on time. Attend meetings as needed. Create / update project plans, reports as needed.
