With cooling towers, fans, and refrigeration units, companies rely on brands like Marley, Recold, and SGS to provide comfort and mission critical and industrial cooling solutions.\n\nWhat You Can Expect in this Role (Job Responsibilities)\n\nWhile each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:\n\nMaterial Planning & Inventory Control\n\nLead material sourcing decisions for each project; this has a strong effect on monthly and quarterly revenue recognition.\nRun Shortage report to purchased parts shortages.\nPerform daily audits of purchased part availability.\nCommunicate shortage information to Materials / Purchasing to expedite missing parts per the build schedule.\nCorrect Inventory Errors in SAP based on part availability.\n\nProduction Planning & Scheduling\n\nReview, maintain and provide comments to Production Schedule from SAP.\nEnter and validate production data using SAP.\nAnalyze, report, and correct production data including usage transactions, production process errors, and quantity transactions to support manufacturing efficiency.\nReview Schedule with Supervisor / Team Lead to develop Run Order for Line.\nCommunicate with Team on issues impacting order ship dates to ensure Project Managers have accurate information to provide customers.\n\nManufacturing & Line Support\n\nWork with Stores personnel to sequence carts to the line.\nVerify CP Carts in sequence.\nAudit JIT carts for missing parts.\nInput Line Downs for missing/defective JIT parts.\nMaintain Line Down Open List (Close Line Items).\nExpedite / Coordinate with JIT department on line down priority and track completion.\nProvide feedback to JIT department on defective parts (Part Numbers, Pictures).\n\nRework & Project Support\n\nMaintain Tower Rework List / Schedule with Completion Dates to provide clear communication to team on tower status.\nCoordinate Tower Rework with Supervisor / Team Lead.\nWork with MRO buyer on tool orders and production needs for the assembly lines.\n\nWhat We Are Looking For (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)\n\nWe each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:\n\nRequired Experience\n\nAssociates Degree or technical program completion required.\nPrevious experience working in a production environment required.\nExperience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).\nCommunication.\nComputer proficient.\nStrong analytical skills.\n\nPreferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities\n\nBachelor’s degree and/or related coursework preferred.\nExperience working with inventory control software (ERP System) preferred.\nExperience working with production scheduling, planning, control or expediting preferred.\nStrong knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.\nKnowledge of international shipments and requirements helpful.\nUnderstanding of logistics terminology helpful.\nExperience implementing transactional technology in processes such as bar coding.\nBusiness Acumen.\nBusiness Performance Measurement.\nChange Savvy.\nNetworking.\nInnovation/Creativity.\n\nEducation & Certifications\n\nAssociates Degree or technical program completion required.\nBachelor’s degree and/or related coursework preferred.\nHazMat certification.\n\nTravel & Working Environment\n\nThe physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
