This role is critical in ensuring our operations remain GAAP and SOX compliant while driving financial discipline, operational excellence, and strategic decision-making.\r\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\r\nLead the full accounting and finance function across the manufacturing site and P&Ls, ensuring consistent processes, reporting, and controls.\r\nEnsure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings, with full ownership of site financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.\r\nMaintain and enforce SOX-compliant internal controls across the site; lead audit readiness and compliance activities.\r\nDrive high standards of cost accounting, including standard costing, inventory valuation, BOM integrity, and capitalized variance analysis.\r\nOversee balance sheet reconciliations and ensure issues are resolved quickly and correctly through strong root-cause analysis.\r\nLeverage ERP systems to drive accurate production order tracking, costing, and reporting—identify gaps and lead system/process improvements.\r\nProvide detailed financial analysis and insights to support operations, supply chain, and executive decision-making.\r\nOwn the development and management of site-level budgets, rolling forecasts, and capital investment planning.\r\nLead, coach, and develop finance team members —fostering a culture of ownership, performance, and collaboration.\r\nAct as a strategic thought partner to the GM and business leaders, bringing a financial lens to daily operations and long-term planning.\r\nMonitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement and profitability.\r\nManage interactions with corporate finance, external auditors, and other stakeholders as needed.\r\nRequirements\r\nExperience as a Controller required.\r\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).\r\n5-7+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance with 3+ years in a manufacturing environment.\r\nStrong background in cost accounting and capitalized manufacturing variance tracking.\r\nHands-on experience managing or supporting P&Ls.\r\nHigh proficiency with ERP systems (Acumatica, SAP, Oracle, or similar); systems implementation/improvement experience a plus.\r\nIn-depth knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and internal control frameworks.\r\nProven leadership skills with the ability to manage remote site finance teams and drive accountability.\r\nExcellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills—you ask the right questions and make sound judgment calls.\r\nWork Environment and Physical Demands\r\nThis is a primarily sedentary on-site position that operates primarily in a professional office environment within a manufacturing facility requiring typical office mobility.\r\nEEO/AA\r\nQuantic is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
