RN - Part-Time 7a-7:30pm

Registered Nurse (RN) Opportunity Part-Time Shift 7am-7:30 pm with every other weekend rotation at The Meadows Psychiatric Center, a 119 bed inpatient behavioral health facility with numerous outpatient programs spanning the entire continuum of care. Located minutes outside of State College in Central PA, the facility provides comprehensive care to children through geriatrics. RN Role/Responsibilities: Provides professional nursing care for all patients on the Child, Adolescent, Stabilization and Adult Units. Prescribes, coordinates and delegates nursing care and oversees the unit activities for each shift. Completes nursing assessments and documents care and progress of the patient each shift. Completes the Columbia Suicide Assessment on all new admissions and on any patient that has a change in their suicide risk level. Facilitates medication administration activities in accordance with safe medication practices, including patient education. Responds to all crisis/emergency events to direct staff and ensure patient safety. Attends Treatment Team to aid in the development of patient care plans. Oversees Mental Health Technicians and Licensed Practical Nurses working on the unit.
