Operators are the foundation for everything we do. The team that you will join handles both continuous and batch processes. We also manage safety inspections, preventative maintenance, and overall cleanliness of the plant. Many of the tasks are performed outdoors or in a cleanroom environment. You will be reporting to the shift supervisor and working closely with maintenance, shipping departments and plant manager. You will receive progressive training to get familiar with all aspects of the work, our safety procedures, and work processes.\nKey Responsibilities:\nActively support the implementation and maintenance of SACHEM’s HSSEE and Quality Management Systems – SACHEM Integrated Management Systems (SIMS).\nMonitor gages and recording instruments, adjust valves and controls to regulate temperatures, pressures, concentration of solutions and flow of chemicals through the process systems for prescribed reaction within critical limits.\nFollow and accurately complete batch sheets and other documentation to produce product efficiently and in compliance with standard operating procedures.\nRecord process variations.\nDetermine initial charge, charge the reactors, adjust, and package final product\nOperate utilities and neutralization systems, perform unloading and loading tasks.\nMaintain a clean and safe work environment.\nReport accidents, safety violations, or other concerns.\nAssist in planning and improving processes and product quality.\nWork with other team members to complete the production process.\nRequirements:\nQualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required\nProcess Operator, DOT Certification or equivalent experience preferred.\nBasic computer skills required\nBasic algebra required\nAptitude for mechanics required.\nUnderstanding of chemical process required.\nAbility to carry and lift 75-pound loads required.\nWillingness to work nightshift, 12-hour shift, overtime required\nExperience wearing personal protective equipment preferred\nOutdoor warehouse experience preferred\nForklift experience preferred\nNightshift experience preferred\nA desire to work with team members to improve processes and product quality in a physically demanding environment.\nWillingness to comply with safety and quality regulations, including wearing protective gear when necessary.\nThe SACHEM Way: Work together in the spirit and intent of the SACHEM Way with integrity, respect and trust.\nInnovation: Use creativity and critical thinking to create value for SACHEM and the customer.\nBusiness and Market Insight: Learn our business, and partner well with customers and all stakeholders.\nComplex Decision Making: Make complex decisions of good quality on a timely basis.\nResults Focus: Set high-level outcomes and get the job done with a sense of urgency.\nCommunication: Communicate for understanding and results.
