{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"7e69a7fbc38e24be32208895","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/7e69a7fbc38e24be32208895","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/7e69a7fbc38e24be32208895","title":"Systems Engineer 2 #","description":"$55-$65 per hour\n\nAUSTIN, TX\n\nContract\n\nDuration: 12+ months\n\nThe Role\n\nData Center Platform Engineering Group (DPEG) is looking for on-site (mandatory) Systems Design Engineer that can work complex issues/problems as they arise in the lab or Data Center.\n\nPerson will be responsible for going through a ticketing system to check tickets that come in during the individual's working hours: debugging SW and HW problems, root causing and fixing said issue.\n\nAs well, person should be able to monitor the lab/data-center for any issues such as power outages, network outages, liquid cooling leaks, etc.\n\nPerson should have the ability to physically install and replace hardware, debug FW and OS issues especially related to GPUs.\n\nKnowledge of Data Center systems that have CPU and GPUs – role requires individual to be technician and engineer.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nWork issues through a JIRA ticket.\n\nDebug platforms/systems; work ticketing system to ensure priority items are getting attention.\n\nCommunicate clearly in tickets to explain the current state of an issue or systems.\n\nTake direction from leaders based on priority needs of the business.\n\nWork with partners, vendors, ODMs, OEMs on issues and ensure clear communication.\n\nDrive continuous improvement within the organization.\n\nEssential Attributes\n\nSelf driven expertise in debugging problems and root causing issues.\n\nAbility to quickly understand and apply specific details to tickets.\n\nStrong communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team.\n\nProven track record of working in a Data Center on complex systems.\n\nKnowledge in JIRA, scripting, Debug methodologies (BMC, BIOS, GPU).\n\nLinux skills w/ ability to do run given automated scripts, look at logs, give updates.\n\nExperience working and communicating with OEM partners and vendors.\n\nDesirable Attributes\n\nSystem level debug methodologies.\n\nProficiency with all standard hardware lab equipment (dediprog, scopes, forklifts, lift tools).\n\nPreferred Experience for Design Reliability Engineer\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nProven ability to lead teams and drive issues to resolution.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\n\nAbout US Tech Solutions\nUS Tech Solutions is a global staff augmentation firm providing a wide range of talent on-demand and total workforce solutions.
