As a Software Engineer focused on desktop systems, you’ll help design and scale a cross-platform time intelligence application (MacOS + Windows) used daily by thousands of professionals.\n\nWhat You’ll Work On\n\nArchitect and evolve a cross-platform desktop agent using Electron.js, optimized for performance and minimal resource footprint.\nBuild real-time timekeeping systems with precise event tracking and background execution.\nDesign and implement system-level signal collection (keyboard, mouse, app usage) with strong privacy and efficiency guarantees.\nDevelop offline-first data pipelines with reliable background sync and conflict resolution.\nIntegrate with distributed backend services and internal APIs to enable analytics and reporting.\nContinuously improve runtime performance, memory efficiency, and fault tolerance.\nCollaborate with product, design, and backend teams to ship features that directly impact user productivity.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n\n3+ years building production-grade desktop applications with Electron.js.\nStrong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.\nExperience designing cross-platform systems (MacOS + Windows) with consistent behavior.\nHands-on work with real-time tracking, event streams, or activity monitoring systems.\nFamiliarity with OS-level APIs for capturing user/system interactions.\nDeep understanding of performance optimization in desktop environments.\nStrong debugging skills and ability to reason about edge cases in distributed/offline systems.\n\nPreferred\n\nExperience building productivity, monitoring, or telemetry-driven applications.\nKnowledge of native OS integrations (permissions, background processes, system hooks).\nUnderstanding of security and privacy considerations in user activity tracking.\nFamiliarity with auto-update systems and release management in Electron.\n\nCompensation & Benefits Notice\n\nThe national pay range for this full-time position is base salary of $130,000 –$160,000 USD.
