This role is intended for a mid-career engineer with strong technical fundamentals, practical CAD/CAM aptitude, and interest in laser powder bed fusion additive manufacturing/ laser welding for aerospace, defense, commercial, and government customers.\nThe Sr. Manufacturing Engineer works cross-functionally with Engineering, Materials & Processes, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Business Development, and Program Management to help convert customer requirements into manufacturable, correctly scoped, and technically credible advanced manufacturing solutions. The role supports feasibility reviews, DfAM/DFM assessments, build preparation inputs, quote packages, customer technical responses, production-readiness documentation, and program execution deliverables.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nProvide technical support for additive manufacturing and welding machines for electrical, mechanical, cooling, and gas systems to allow machines to operate at their optimal efficiency and productivity. < !!!\nCollaborate with engineering and operations personnel to ensure successful equipment installation, start-up, and maintenance.\nAbility to engage, teach, and train company personnel on basic system use for equipment and peripheral machines.\nSupport DfAM/DFM reviews, build orientation, support strategy, material and process fit, post-processing assumptions, inspection feasibility, and manufacturing constraints.
