This position will focus on supporting the Company Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Satellite Systems Software Engineering organization.\r\nOur team creates software tools and services for the world’s highest performing satellite/ground systems for USG and Commercial customers. We work with customers in the development of the next generation ground systems.\r\nThis is an opportunity to work in a rapid development environment using modern technology, architecture, and tools. Our team works within an agile methodology using a CI/CD environment; integrated with automated testing, vulnerability, & quality scanning capabilities. Your skills and interests will be matched to available roles within the program IPT.\r\nThis senior position requires proven experience within the software ecosystem, a unique background of project experience, and the clear exhibition of superior judgment and decision making to engineer new solutions and capabilities. Find your future with us.\r\nPosition Responsibilities:Develop and maintain requirements, architecture, algorithms, interfaces, and design for high-performance Command and Control (C2) software solutions.\r\nLead software development activities in the scaled agile methodology utilizing a DevSecOps environment. Supporting software development activities and integrating completed software components into a fully functional software system.\r\nSupport progress demonstration presentations to customer representatives and program/IPT leadership.\r\nPerform day-to-day activities in the areas Product Owner/Technical Lead, Release Train Engineer/Scrum Master, and/or Integration & Test lead.\r\nSupport IPT by implementing a structured approach to defining and meeting a development and integration schedule alongside a rigorously managed cost baseline.\r\n12+ months — possible extension and possible FTE opportunity.\r\nRequirementsWhat you'll need\r\nRequired Skills:Bachelor’s Degree\r\n5+ years of experience with software development for space systems and ground segments performing command, control, mission planning and data processing\r\n5+ years of experience in the Software Development lifecycle (including Requirements Analysis, Design, Code, Integration & Test)\r\n3+ years of experience leading software development projects\r\n3+ years of experience with software development using either Java, C++, or Python\r\nExperience working in an Agile software development environment and DevOps methodologies\r\nDoD Secret Clearance\r\nPreferred Skills:Experience as a Product Owner/Technical Lead and/or Integration & Test Lead for government programs.\r\nUnderstanding of Command and Control (C2) systems, real-time applications, and their specific requirements.\r\nExperience with database technologies (SQL/NoSQL), messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, ActiveMQ), and data streaming technologies (e.g., CCSDS).\r\nFamiliarity with containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration platforms.\r\nStrong experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines in GitLab to automate testing, builds, and deployment workflows.\r\nExperience with various formal acceptance testing activities (e.g., Formal Qualification Test -FQT, Factory Acceptance Test - FAT, Site Acceptance Test - SAT)\r\nActive TS/SCI or DoD Top Secret clearance.\r\nEducation/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience).
