Quality Assurance AnalystThe Quality Assurance Analyst’s role is to develop and establish quality assurance standards and measures for the information technology services within the organization.Under broad supervision, the Jr. QA Tester/Analyst will support the execution of test lifecycle deliverables per standard methodologies and procedures to ensure successful test strategy and plan implementation for the Georgia Department of Transportation.While the intent may be long-term tenure, this position is subject to annual budget restrictions. The initial contract is through the end of the fiscal year and is anticipated to be renewed on July 1st, 2026.Location: Local Atlanta candidates onlyWork Mode: Hybrid – 2 days onsiteDuties / ResponsibilitiesExperience in testing custom applicationsExperience in testing GIS componentsCreate and document test plans, execute tests, analyze results, and report issuesWork from the perspective of business end usersOperate within an Agile frameworkCollaborate with business partners, PMO, and vendor technical teamsEnsure testing is completed on time and report risks or bottlenecksAssist in developing UAT test scenariosParticipate in defect triage meetings and demosProvide weekly status reports to QA LeadEducationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related fieldGeneral Experience3–5 years of experience in software testingExperience in mid- to large-scale system development projectsAbility to manage multiple prioritiesStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to analyze system and business requirementsExperience with manual and/or automated testingExperience creating Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTM)Experience supporting UAT activitiesExperience documenting test cases and resultsAbility to prepare test dataExperience with various testing types (system, regression, performance, security, etc.)Mobile testing experience is a plusStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsDetail-orientedStrong collaboration skills across teamsExperience with GitHub and ServiceNowSpecialized ExperienceKnowledge of QA concepts and best practicesExperience writing manual test scripts and casesExperience executing application testingFamiliarity with SDLC and Agile methodologiesExperience with defect management toolsPublic sector experience preferredPreferred CertificationsCertified Associate in Software Testing (CAST)Certified Test Engineer (CSTE)Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA)Certified Manager of Software Quality (CMSQ)
