(GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.\n\nWe have an exciting opportunity for a System Development & Test (SD&T) Engineer at our El Mirage Engine Test facility.\n\nUnder general supervision with regular review, this position is responsible for applying innovative approaches to resolve unusual and complex engineering problems for engine test stand design and troubleshooting. This position is an excellent fit for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent projects.\n\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nDesigns, develops, troubleshoots, repairs, and supports maintenance of propulsion test stand equipment, both electrically and mechanically.\nDesigns, develops, and provides necessary technical documentation for test systems and/or customized tooling.\nApplies technical knowledge to analyze, investigate, and resolve assigned engineering problems.\nPrepares, coordinates, and leads test activities. Also obtains and analyzes test data.\nCreates system plans and provides technical presentations, as required.\nAbility to lead small teams and projects, as well as mentor new engineers.\nSupports production to provide evaluation and disposition for non-conformances, including root cause analysis, as well as participating in the corrective and preventative action process.\nPrepares recommendations for capital expenditures in support of manufacturing or test process improvements.\nPasses information up and down the management chain efficiently and effectively.\nPerforms other duties as assigned and works in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.\nResponsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable requirements wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.\nMaintains strict confidentiality of sensitive information.\n\nWe recognize and appreciate the value and contributions of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences and welcome all qualified individuals to apply.\nJob Qualifications\nTypically requires a bachelors degree, masters degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; four or more years of experience with a bachelors degree or two or more years of experience with a masters degree.
