If you are driven by a sense of service and a passion for supporting others through life's final journey, we would be honored to connect with you.Role Description: As a Spiritual Counselor with LDV Hospice, you'll offer meaningful spiritual guidance and emotional care to patients, their families, caregivers, and staff. This role involves supporting individuals from all spiritual paths—including those without a religious affiliation—and helping them find peace, meaning, and comfort during the end-of-life process.Primary Responsibilities:Provide supportive, non-judgmental spiritual care to patients and their familiesRespect and uphold each individual's beliefs, rituals, and faith traditionsCollaborate with patients' clergy or connect them with appropriate community spiritual leadersConduct or assist with memorial services, blessings, or end-of-life rituals upon requestAttend interdisciplinary care meetings and contribute to holistic care planningOffer education and support to staff and volunteers regarding spiritual care topicsMaintain clear, timely documentation in line with hospice protocolsConduct scheduled visits and participate in the spiritual care on-call rotationProvide emotional and spiritual support to fellow team members when neededQualifications & Experience:Experience:Minimum 2 years in pastoral care or spiritual counseling (3+ years in hospice or healthcare preferred)Education:Master of Divinity or a comparable theological degreeOrdination or licensure as clergy in New MexicoCompletion of 4 CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education) units strongly preferredAdditional Requirements:Valid driver's license and current auto liability insuranceAbility to serve patients in homes, facilities, and other care settingsKey Attributes:A calm and compassionate presenceSensitivity to diverse cultural and religious backgroundsClear and empathetic communication skillsReliable, organized, and self-directedStrong teamwork and collaborative mindsetWhy Work with Luna Del Valle Hospice?Deeply rewarding work that nurtures the human spiritSupportive and mission-driven work environmentFlexible scheduling with limited night/weekend requirementsOpportunities to impact not only patients but also their families and the broader communityIf you feel called to walk beside others during life's most sacred moments, we invite you to apply and become a valued part of the LDV Hospice team.Learn more or apply today at www.ldvhospice.com Luna Del Valle Hospice – Where Compassion Meets Care
