As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing backend services using modern backend frameworks and technologies with a focus on building modular, loosely coupled components that integrate with our frontend applications You will work closely with our development team to build and maintain scalable and maintainable backend architecture.\nRequired experience with:\nDemonstrated hand on experience with backend frameworks such as Spring Boot and Hibernate\nStrong understanding of data modeling and database design principles with experience designing Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs)\nExperience with Oracle Relational Database Services (RDS)\nExperience creating RESTful APIs, including designing API endpoints, handling requests and responses, and implementing API security measures\nExperience with Java and Java-based technologies, with a focus on building scalable and maintainable backend services\nExperience with unit testing and integration testing using JUnit and other testing frameworks and code coverage using tools like JaCoCo\nExperience with Tomcat and other servlet containers\nExperience with Linux based systems and shell scripting\nExperience with automated build, test, and deployment technologies such as Gradle, Maven and Jenkins\nExperience with API documentation tools like Swagger\nExperience with cloud based technologies such as AWS\nExperience with utilizing CI/CD Pipelines\nFamiliarity with Agile development methodologies\nDesired experience with:\nExperience working with or implementing serverless architecture such as AWS Lambda and other serverless technologies\nExperience with designing and implementing microservices architecture , with a focus on scalability and maintainability\nExperience with containerization technologies like Docker\nExperience with orchestration technologies like Kubernetes\nNice to Have\nExperience with other backend frameworks such as Node.js or Python\nExperiences with AWS Services such as EKS ad Step Functions\n#WeAreGDIT\n#JET\n#GDITEnhanced2026\n#VA_2026Alumni\nWork Requirements\nYears of Experience\n5 + years of related experience\nmay vary based on technical training, certification(s), or degree\nCertification\nTravel Required\nLess than 10%\nCitizenship\nU.S. Citizenship Required\nSalary and Benefit Information\nThe likely salary range for this position is $153,000 - $207,000.
