Palmer Company, LLC has some of the most differentiated manufacturing capabilities in the industry as one of the only companies in the U.S. able to make hollow molded chocolate candy products and multicolor chocolate candy novelties.\nSummary:\nAs a Maintenance Mechanic, you will perform routine and specialized maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal functioning of our machinery and building structures. Your expertise will help us maintain high productivity and safety standards.\nMaintenance Mechanic Duties:\nPreventative Maintenance: Regularly service machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns.\nRepairs and Replacements: Fix or replace defective parts using a variety of tools.\nInstallation: Set up industrial machinery and related components.\nFabrication: Utilize maintenance shop tools for repairs and creating custom parts.\nBuilding Maintenance: Conduct routine upkeep of building structures.\nAdditional Tasks: Complete other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.\nMaintenance Mechanic Requirements:\nKnowledge/Skills:\nStrong mechanical understanding and proficiency with tools.\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.\n3-5 years of relevant experience in maintenance or related fields.\nPrior experience in production or manufacturing is a plus.\nMachines, Tools & Equipment, Software:\nForklifts, electric power jacks, lifts, ladders, hand tools, power tools.\nPersonal computer with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.\nThe R. M. Palmer Company provides safety education and training to all our employees in GMP Regulations, Food Safety Guidelines, Food Quality Programs, Employee Safety, and on SQF (Safe Quality Food) requirements on an annual basis. In return, the Company expects and insists that all employees recognize their individual obligation to conduct themselves with due regard not only for their own safety but for the safety of their fellow employees and to incorporate the food training to the products that are being produced for public consumption.
