Vice President – Deals & Transaction Accounting Advisory(Private Equity / M&A Focus)📍 New York | Chicago | Dallas | Houston | Los Angeles (Hybrid)💰 $240k – $320k total comp (base + bonus)We are leading a confidential, retained search for a high-growth, private equity-backed advisory firm expanding its Deals & Transaction Accounting practice.This role sits at the core of live deal environments, partnering directly with PE sponsors, CFOs, and transaction teams across acquisitions, carve-outs, integrations, and capital markets events.This is not traditional accounting advisory — it is hands-on, execution-led work where you will operate at the intersection of M&A, finance leadership, and transaction accounting, influencing real deal outcomes.The Role• Lead accounting and finance workstreams across buy-side and sell-side transactions• Advise on purchase accounting, revenue recognition, and complex deal-related issues• Support carve-outs, integrations, and IPO / capital markets readiness• Analyse working capital, net debt, and key performance drivers in live deals• Work closely with CFOs, PE sponsors, and deal teams to deliver actionable insights• Translate financial analysis into commercial impact and decision-makingThe Profile• CPA qualified with experience in Big4 Deals / Accounting Advisory (CMAAS / FAAS) or leading boutiques• Background in transaction accounting, M&A, or capital markets transactions• Strong experience across ASC 805, ASC 606, ASC 842, carve-outs, purchase accounting• Advanced Excel / financial analysis capability• Preference for hands-on deal environments over purely technical or reporting roles• Exposure to private equity-backed companies strongly preferredWhy This Role• Direct exposure to PE sponsors and live transactions• High-growth platform with clear progression• More ownership and pace than traditional Big4 environments• Strong compensation + upsideIf you’re currently in Big4 Accounting Advisory or Deals and want to move closer to private equity and transaction-driven work, this is a standout opportunity.📩 Message me for a confidential discussion.#AccountingAdvisory #TransactionAccounting #MergersAndAcquisitions #PrivateEquity #Deals #TransactionAdvisory #Big4 #CPA #CarveOuts #PurchaseAccounting #CapitalMarkets #IPO #FinanceCareers
