At Judco, we value reliability, accountability, and a strong work ethic—and we’re looking for team members who want to be part of building something from the ground up.Role DescriptionJudco Manufacturing is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Quality Engineer to serve as the lead quality professional at our new Snow Hill, North Carolina facility.The Quality Engineer will be responsible for daily quality execution, coordination with customers and suppliers, and ensuring disciplined quality processes across incoming inspection, molding inspection, customer quality issues, and corrective actions.The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing and automotive environments, understands IATF expectations, works well with production and engineering, and takes ownership of quality issues from identification through closure.**Must be located within an hours drive of the plant in Snow Hill, NC**Key ResponsibilitiesIncoming Inspection & Supplier Quality OversightOversee incoming inspection activities for raw materials, components, and purchased parts.Ensure inspection criteria, sampling plans, and acceptance standards are clearly defined and followed.Review and maintain material certifications, inspection records, and supplier documentation.Work with the Director of Quality and suppliers on quality issues, containment, and corrective actions.Customer Quality & Corrective ActionsServe as the primary on-site contact for customer quality issues in coordination with Judco’s CQE team in Mexico.Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities, including 8D reports, containment plans, and permanent corrective actions.Track customer RMAs, returns, and chargebacks to closure.Ensure timely and professional responses to customer quality concerns.Process & Molding Quality OversightProvide quality oversight for injection molding processes, including first article inspections, in-process checks, and final inspections.Review molding inspection standards, defect criteria, and control plans.Partner with production, engineering, and tooling teams to address process variation and defect trends.Quality Systems & DocumentationMaintain quality records, inspection documentation, nonconformance reports, and corrective action files.Support development and enforcement of IATF-aligned work instructions and procedures.Assist with internal audits, preparation for customer audits, and readiness for future IATF certification audits.Ensure quality documentation is accurate, complete, and audit-ready.Continuous Improvement & Cross-Functional SupportAnalyze quality data and trends to identify improvement opportunities.Participate in cross-functional problem-solving with production, engineering, and operations.Promote consistent quality expectations, discipline, and accountability throughout the facility.QualificationsMinimum 5 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.Working knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO quality systems.Hands-on experience with root cause analysis, 8D problem solving, and corrective action processes.Experience with incoming inspection, process inspection, and customer quality issue resolution.Strong documentation skills with the ability to maintain clear, accurate, and audit-ready records.Comfortable working directly on the shop floor with production and technical teams.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and quality data tracking.High level of integrity, accountability, and ownership.Preferred QualificationsQuality Engineer or CQE background.Experience supporting injection molding or electromechanical assembly processes.Familiarity with ERP systems and electronic quality recordkeeping.BenefitsCompetitive salary and benefits packageOpportunity to work directly with senior quality leadershipHigh-impact role in a new facility launchClear accountability and streamlined reporting structure**Must be located within an hours drive of the plant in Snow Hill, NC**
