Contributing to the CIRCULAR ECONOMY model is our core focus.\n\nThe Process Engineer is responsible for overseeing the installation, start-up, and operation of new processes. Additionally, the process engineer is responsible for providing on-site operations support, identifying, and evaluating continuous process improvement opportunities, supporting local capital project development and execution, and implementing, maintaining, and improving process safety management systems.\n\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nSupport the development of recovery processes for nickel, cobalt, lithium, and other metals and materials from batteries.\nDevelop process(es) from the lab-scale to full production.\nDetermine engineering and operating parameters from lab-scale through scale-up and full production.\nSupport material and energy balance development and adjustment as required.\nPerform Technical Economic Assessments (TEA) on processes.\nFacilitate technical information exchange and resource assignments with third party partners.\nSupport Health, Safety and Environmental (HS&E) improvement initiatives and HS&E compliance, including Process Safety Management (PSM) and EPA Risk Management Plan (RMP) considerations.\nParticipate in process PHA assessments and lead resolution of PHA findings.\nParticipate in, facilitate, and support additional site PSM elements such as management of change (MOC), incident investigation, document management, employee training, pre-start up safety reviews (PSSR)Support standard operating procedure (SOP), commissioning, and maintenance plan creation for newly installed process equipment.\nIdentify and provide foundation to execute continuous improvement opportunities.\nAct as a local resource in the plant for capital project development and execution.\nLead troubleshooting efforts and provide technical support to operations as needed.\nDevelop and execute time studies to streamline battery disassembly, tear-down and staging activities.\nRecommission pilot processing line and evaluate pilot system improvements.\nIdentify, design, and execute small scale pilot studies to improve operating parameters or unit profitability\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\n\n3-5 years of process engineering experience in the chemical industry or related field.\nKnowledge of process design, unit operations, and process control fundamentals\nSelf-driven with ability to work independently on a routine basis to achieve work goals.\n\nEDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS\n\nBachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering","company":"Cirbasolutions1","rawCompany":"cirbasolutions1","city":"Lancaster","state":"OH","isRemote":false,"isActive":false,"createdAt":"2026-04-12T20:32:15.025Z","occupations":[{"code":"17-2041.00","title":"Chemical Engineers","slug":"chemical-engineers"},{"code":"17-2199.00","title":"Engineers, All Other","slug":"engineers-all-other"},{"code":"17-2112.03","title":"Manufacturing Engineers","slug":"manufacturing-engineers"}],"industries":[{"code":"335910","title":"Battery Manufacturing","slug":"battery-manufacturing"},{"code":"541330","title":"Engineering Services","slug":"engineering-services"},{"code":"541690","title":"Other Scientific and Technical Consulting Services","slug":"other-scientific-and-technical-consulting-services"}],"jobPosting":{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"JobPosting","title":"Process Engineer","description":"General Description\n\nCirba Solutions is the most trusted and complete battery solution partner in the world.
