Shipping Lead

Job Description Position Title: Shipping LeadPay Range: $25.75-$27.30*** This position is Onsite – 8am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday, flexibility will be necessary***What You'll DoUnder limited supervision, monitor material movement of product being produced /completed. Responsible to use knowledge of inventory practices / Quality control to maintain accurate information on inventory levels and Quality. This position reports into the Plant Manager.Maintain proper movement of material is all areasConduct inventory cycle counts.Identify sources of cycle count variances and work with appropriate departments to correct.Count, weigh, and document incoming material and outgoing freight.Report shortages and damaged materials to supervisor.Maintain necessary documentation for shipping/receiving.Assist in getting orders ready for shipment including bag, box, skid and strap all materialsSafely move material with cart, pallet jack & forklift. Properly operate auxiliary equipment.Maintain clean and safe environment.Supervise 2-3 employees on a daily basisMust know and follow the quality policy and comply with all requirements of the quality systems manualPerforms other duties as assigned.What You BringRequires 5+ years related experience in material movement, Inventory control and QualityGood verbal and written communication skills.Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.Ability to follow oral instructions.Good basic math skillsHigh school graduate or GEDHigh accuracy in data entry workGood organizational skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnelMust be able to use standard measuring tools such as measuring tape, caliper, and micrometer.Computer skills- Office suite, SAP experience a plusInventory control and Quality knowledge a plusWhy Johnson Screens is a Great Place to Work:At Johnson Screens, we value open-mindedness, competence, collaboration, and integrity.
