Job Title: Project/Program Manager IT 3Location: Peoria, IL, Chicago, IL, Dallas, TXJob Type: W2 ContractExpected hours per week: 40 hours per weekSchedule: Hybrid, Monday – Friday, 8AM-5PM CSTPay Range: $55-60 per hour Job DescriptionThe main function of an IT project/program manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming.Job ResponsibilitiesCreate and Maintain project plans to plan and coordinate project activity.Managing day-to-day activities of the project, including overseeing project responsibilities and schedules. Developing contingency plans for potential risks.Evaluating and managing deliverables to ensure that service expectations are achievable, developed and met.Monitoring projects results for significant deviations. Ensuring adherence of quality standards and processes.Manage backup, security and user help system.Skills: Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.Education/Experience Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred but not required. PMI or PMP certification preferred. 5-7 years’ experience required.Position’s Contributions To Work GroupPartner with the Product Owner and Program Manager to manage agile project tracking, ensuring the project plan remains current and proactively identifying potential delivery risks.Attend cross-functional virtual meetings to gather project steps, document dependencies, and build a comprehensive, integrated project plan.Typical task breakdown:Project Planning & ExecutionLead the development, creation, and ongoing maintenance of comprehensive project plans.Integrate new feature initiatives into broader project timelines, ensuring plans remain current and adaptive.Track and manage key milestones, proactively reporting on progress and upcoming deliverables.Schedule & Resource CoordinationMaintain synchronized release schedules across all systems.Align release activities with role assignments and identify resource overallocations or conflicts across overlapping plans.Process ManagementDocument and maintain process flows and mini-project plans for recurring tasks.Monitor execution of recurring processes and ensure timely completion.Create and manage process documentation and task assignments for repeatable workflows.Cross-Functional CollaborationTrack dependencies across related project plans and ensure alignment with broader program objectives.Maintain consistent status updates in coordination with the Program Manager.Facilitate the creation and maintenance of a task-level RACI matrix across teams, clarifying ownership and accountability—especially for cross-system and interdependent activities.Reporting & CommunicationDeliver clear and concise status reports on project health and milestones.Build executive-ready PowerPoint visuals to communicate project status, recurring processes, and key insights.Tool ProficiencyEffectively utilize project management tools such as Azure DevOps and Microsoft Project to manage workstreams and timelines.Interaction With TeamDaily meetings with team to drive IT development projects.Work directly with Engineering Program Manager and Technical Product OwnerWork environment:Remote work through Microsoft TeamsEducation & Experience Required:5-7 years’ experience required.No Degree requiredHS Diploma or EquivalentRequired Technical SkillsProject Management for technical teamsManagement of plans within Azure DevOpsManagement of plans within Microsoft ProjectMicrosoft PowerPointSoft SkillsAbility to create Power BI dashboards#INDOEM
