Senior Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Specialist
Job Overview
Our team at Air Safe is seeking an ambitious and skilled Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Specialist to lead efforts in assessing, improving, and maintaining optimal indoor air environments. This is a huge opportunity for a self starter as we expand our service offering. This is a client-facing, senior-level role responsible for conducting independent assessments, collecting air and surface samples, preparing clear and defensible reports, and developing remediation protocols.
Responsibilities
Conduct indoor air quality and mold assessments in residential, commercial, and institutional buildings
Perform visual inspections, moisture mapping, and environmental diagnostics
Collect air, surface, and bulk samples following industry best practices
Coordinate laboratory analysis and interpret results
Prepare professional, defensible IAQ and mold assessment reports
Develop clear remediation protocols and scopes of work
Communicate findings to homeowners, attorneys, real estate professionals, and insurers
Serve as a technical resource internally for remediation planning and execution
Support business development through professional relationships and referrals
Maintain compliance with IICRC and Massachusetts regulations
Experience
Experience as a mold inspector interacting with customers as a consultant or salesperson. Applicable certifications include: IICRC CIE, IICRC AMRT, IICRC MRT, ACAC CIEC, etc.
Demonstrated expertise in technical writing for reports, regulatory documentation, and research papers.
Hands-on laboratory experience with air sampling techniques, water testing procedures, or chemical analysis methods.
Familiarity with OSHA regulations concerning workplace safety and EPA standards governing air emissions and water quality.
Mechanical knowledge relevant to ventilation systems or HVAC design is highly desirable.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
