You will be responsible for creating an exceptional piercing and shopping experience for our customers in a genuine and enthusiastic manner, supporting the team on the weekends. This position involves assisting customers with ear piercings, providing product recommendations, and ensuring the studio maintains Rowan's high standards of cleanliness and safety. Your responsibility is to infuse the Rowan experience, bring brand awareness, product knowledge and the art of ear stacking to life, through engaging customer interactions. This is an hourly, non-exempt position, reporting to the Studio Manager.\r\nWhat you'll be doing as a Retail Store Associate:\r\nCustomer Service\r\nWarmly greet, and welcome, customers helping create a celebratory environment.\r\nCheck customers in or help them book an appointment leveraging POS, technology and software systems.\r\nHelp customers choose and style their piercing and hypoallergenic non-piercing jewelry.\r\nProfessionally answer customer questions about piercing procedures, aftercare, and product details whether on the selling floor or answering phone inquiries.\r\nSales & Product Knowledge:\r\nPromote and upsell Rowan's products, including non-piercing jewelry, aftercare kits, and other related items.\r\nMaintain up-to-date knowledge of Rowan's product offerings, including materials, styles, and care instructions.\r\nMeet or exceed individual sales targets and performance metrics, by effectively communicating the value of Rowan's services and products to customers and converting piercing customers into non-piercing jewelry customers.\r\nStudio Maintenance + Operations:\r\nHelp keep the studio clean, organized, and stocked with all necessary supplies, including jewelry, piercing and cleaning products.\r\nFollow all health and safety regulations, particularly in areas related to piercing procedures and hygiene.\r\nAssist managers to receive, restock, price, display, clean, and maintain inventory through day-to-day upkeep of visual displays.\r\nTeam Collaboration\r\nWork closely with Studio Manager and Studio Nurse Piercers to provide seamless service to customers.\r\nParticipate in team meetings and training sessions to continuously improve skills and product knowledge.\r\nSupport the team in achieving studio-wide goals and maintaining a positive work environment.\r\nAdministrative Duties\r\nProcess transactions accurately, including sales, returns, and exchanges.\r\nAssist with inventory management by conducting regular stock checks and replenishing displays as needed.\r\nMaintain accurate customer records, including consent and waiver forms and aftercare instructions.\r\nExperience we're looking for:\r\nRetail or service industry experience is a plus.\r\nYou must be able to work weekends, nights and holidays.\r\nAn independent thinker with a can do attitude.\r\nYou love jewelry and helping customers choose their earrings!\r\nYou pride yourself on delivering exceptional customer service.\r\nYou thrive in a busy environment and know how to keep busy when it's quieter.\r\nYou enjoy spending time with people.\r\nYou are nice, friendly, outgoing, and easy to get along with.\r\nYou like being part of a team.\r\nYou are flexible and willing to lend a helping hand.\r\nStrong communication skills.\r\nStrong basic math skills.\r\nThe role involves tasks that may include climbing ladders, bending, lifting, pushing, and reaching above and below the waist.
