Operate and/or use related machinery, equipment, and tools necessary to complete assembly/parts fabrication to specifications, which include hoists, slings, grinders (portable & bench), drills, presses, punches, saws, bending machines, tape measure, hand tools, etc. Note: Excludes CNC equipment program set-up and operate.\r\nWhat you'll be responsible for in this role:\r\nFabricate assemblies/parts for products and changes to existing products per engineering documents and established production standards.\r\nSet-up, and lay out work using fixtures and guides to fabricate parts and assemblies.\r\nArrange parts for fabrication and staging processes.\r\nReview finished assemblies and parts to ensure accuracy against drawings and BOMs.\r\nReport fabrication issues and assist in resolutions as required.\r\nDiagnose process and quality issues and make improvement recommendations to department supervisor.\r\nReject defective parts and material according to policy.\r\nEnsure safe, careful use, treatment, and maintenance of tools and equipment.\r\nParticipate in and attend cross functional meetings as required.\r\nParticipate in cross training program---train and be trained\r\nWhat are the basic qualifications?\r\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)\r\n1 -2 years of production machine operator experience\r\nTo be a great fit for the role:\r\nBasic reading/writing skills\r\nBasic PC skills\r\nBasic math skills\r\nAbility to read a tape measure and understand fractions and decimals\r\nGood communication skills\r\nUnderstanding of 6S\r\nAbility to read and understand all job specifications\r\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds\r\nAbility to stand, walk and/or sit for long periods of time\r\nAbility to handle multiple assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced and complex environment.\r\nTeam oriented individual who is flexible and adaptable to an ever-changing environment.\r\nWhat's in it for you?
