By hiring the best people and helping them grow both professionally and personally, we ensure a bright future for NTT DATA and for the people who work here.\n\nJob Description:\n\nDB2 DBA for iSeries (IBM i / AS400), specializing in database performance tuning and optimization.\n\nTechnical Skills\n\n8+ years of experience with DB2 for iSeries (IBM i/ AS400)\nProven expertise in database performance tuning and optimization\nAdvanced knowledge of SQL tuning, query optimization, and execution plans\nSolid understanding of IBM i architecture, storage, and workload management\nRoles & Responsibilities\nReview current database usage patterns to identify anti-patterns and potential performance issues\nAnalyze execution plans, wait time and resource metrics, and top N queries without performing query rewrites\nIdentify index gaps, inefficient indexing, and CPU, memory, I/O, and bufferpool configuration issues\nDiagnose and resolve database performance, availability, and stability issues\nEstablish baselines to validate tuning and provide clear, actionable recommendations to application teams\nCollaborate with tools team for monitoring\nDocumentation and implementation of best practices\nKnowledge transfer of common tools, processes, and issue resolution\nNice to have\nHand on experience building monitoring tools and dashboards that helps understand database performance at-a-glance and send alerts for certain types of problems\nLocation:\nPreferred in Los Colinas, TX or Alpharetta, GA - Hybrid.\nIf remote, availability should be during Eastern or Central Business hours; should be on video for all calls.\n\nAbout NTT DATA Services:\n\nNTT DATA Services is a recognized leader in IT and business services, including cloud, data and applications, headquartered in Texas.
