The role requires strong problem-solving, communication skills, and expertise in middleware technologies, scripting, and system monitoring to ensure reliable and scalable IT ecosystems.\n\nTypical Duties and Responsibilities\n\nDesign and Development: Create technical designs and develop solutions for integration, connectivity, performance, and security.\nSystem Integration: Build and maintain integrations between various applications, systems, and databases.\nMaintenance and Support: Install, configure, update, and maintain middleware software and resolve production issues.\nMonitoring and Optimization: Monitor system performance, conduct troubleshooting, and optimize middleware for efficiency and reliability.\nSecurity and Governance: Implement security measures and ensure compliance with governance policies for APIs and integrations.\nDocumentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for designs, configurations, and procedures.\nCollaboration: Work with IT, business teams, and vendors to understand requirements and deliver solutions.\n\nRequirements\n\nEducation/Experience:\n\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent academic achievement or equivalent experience.\nExperience with middleware development.\nKnowledge of middleware technologies (GoAnywhere, Mulesoft, etc.) and architectures (MFT, MQ, Rest API, Apache Kafka).\nProficiency in operating systems (Linux, Windows, IBM I) and scripting languages (Python, Shell).\nKnowledge in data transformation technologies.\nExperience with system monitoring, performance tuning, and API lifecycle management.\nUnderstanding of distributed computing concepts.\nKnowledge of Agile development methodologies.\nKnowledge of DevOps practices and tools.\nExperience with data integration and data orchestration tools and related best-practices.\nExperience with service-oriented architectures.\nKnowledge of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL).\nProficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)\n\nAbility to:\n\nWork effectively in a team-oriented environment, establishing and maintaining good rapport with co-workers, supervisors, and others.\nDemonstrate strong level of quality in coding and testing applications.\nApply analytical and problem-solving skills.\nPrioritize, delegate, direct and organize tasks while meeting strict deadlines.\nComplete projects within expected deadlines or defined time estimates.\nDemonstrate strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.\nPerform all duties with efficiency and accuracy.\nPerform all tasks with integrity and confidentiality.\nBe self-directed and demonstrate time management skills.\nWork independently on assigned tasks.\nServe in an on-call production support rotation to resolve problems.\n\nPreferred Credentials:\n\nPrevious working experience with middleware technologies (GoAnywhere, Mulesoft, etc.).\nPrevious working experience with middleware architectures (MFT, MQ, Rest API, Apache Kafka).\n\nThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature of work performed by the employees assigned to this job.
